You misunderstand the ebase import procedures. Reread those sections of the
manual. It looks like you are looking at the FileMaker import procedure.
Ebase will assign a unique record number to each record as it is imported.
If you indeed have two databases and they have no overlap in names, just
import one and then import the other. If there are duplicates they can be
found later as ebase has fairly good duplicate detection methods.
