Gary - You should take up night-shooting, as your shot in the dark was
right on. Both I and my predecessor have modified some layouts and scripts.
And it looks to me like something we did caused ebase to lose the
connection to the "utility layout" you were describing. In fact, now that I
think about it, my predecessor did leave me some note about needing to fix
the Bcc script.
Would you mind printing your copy of Script #200c and faxing it to me at
510-740-3131? I'm hoping that I can find the layout.
Or, alternately, go into Scriptmaker, look at Script "200c - Send Batch to
BCC", and tell me the name of the utility layout and maybe what fields are
on it.
Here's my summary of "200c - Send Batch to BCC" as it appears on my ebase:
- aborts if there are too many records in the found set
- Initializes two fields
- Goes to Layout: "Send Email Status Screen" (this is the layout you reach
at the end of this step, that tells you how many emails are in the found
set, how many processed, how many still to process, number sent, and bad
addresses).
- Initializes a bunch more fields
- Starts a loop, in which (I think, although my knowledge of Filemaker
scripting is limited) it cycles through the records in the found set and
sets a bunch of fields, including "gBccList", the field that should hold
the long list of email addresses
- Freezes the window
- Go to Layout [<unknown>] - **** A-HA HERE'S THE PROBLEM ****
- Copy gBccList
- Go to Layout [Send Email Status Screen]
- Show Message saying that the email address are in the clipboard
- Send Mail
Gary - thank you thank you, you 'da man!
Jeff
