Thanks for your help, Holly. I tried using the "added by" field, but the
field automatically defaulted to who originally added the record in the
names file. Since we'll be adding new payments for people who already in
the database in addition to new members, what I ended up doing instead was
creating a new field, with the same format as the "added by" field. This
allows me to keep track of who added the payment record irrespective of
who originally add person into the database.
