> How would I track a corporation matching an individuals gift?

It is vital to track WHO wrote the check, so the corp gets the payment
record. However, there are several places to show that that individual
person helped get that money. The employer line on the individual's Bio tab
is one, or you can just drop the person's name into the Pay Memo field on
the Payment Entry layout, or a combo of above (especially if you have more
than one person from a single company).

I haven't delved much deeper yet into ebase's possibilities but I know
there's more due to the fact the report button from the Payment Entry and
View Payments layouts gives a choice of: By Individual/ plus Employer. Any
one else use that function?

See page 16-3 in the How to Use manual and previous messages on this
listserv, but essentially is lets you designate between tax deductible
(non-lobbying) and non-tax deductible (lobbying) funds within a
organization.
