Matt,

I worked with a group that had a very similar problem with payments being
entered fully but not being recorded as such and "missing information
messages." They were running ebase over a network without FM Server and
opening ebase on multiple workstations with only one license. I add this
b/c that created numerous instabilities and occasional cycles of
crash/recovery. Don't know anything about your set-up or how this problem
started but it seems to arise from ebase crashing and becoming corrupted.

The problem was not with ebase, per se. After examining the contents of the
payment tables and scripts used in the payment process (add payment, etc.),
it became apparent that fields had become misnamed and what appeared to be a
field that was on the screen during data entry wasn't actually named what it
should have been or wasn't there at all.

The problem was cleaned up by essentially backing up payment data and
installing a clean copy of the payment table from a new copy of ebase. The
recover process seemed to do much the same but is not as stable in the long
run.

You may want to first closely examine the field names in layout, in table
view and compare that with the scripts running the payment process.
