I remember a thread on this same problem a few months ago. I can find 
the thread in the archives, and it identifies the problem. I thought 
we solved it, but it ends before anyone came up with a solution.

The problem involves the packaging of the runtime solution. Although 
the FileMaker file format is identical for both platforms, the 
runtime application is different. Apparently the files packaged with 
a runtime are identified with that solution, and don't work with the 
runtime on the other platform.

The only solution we were able to offer was to import the data from 
the files on one platform to the other. I was quite sure we found a 
more complete workaround. I'll dig some more to see if my memory is 
correct.
