Yes, that's correct.
[Walt, he's dealing with the runtime, and the mac files don't work
with the windows runtime (or the other way). Bob just confirmed that
my memory was not correct - we tried to solve this once before and
didn't come up with a way to use the files cross-platform when using
the runtime. Do you have an idea?]
>Several of questions.
>(1) Do I only have to import the files that have been changed on the mac side?
All of them.
>(2) Delete the current single record in the Win file first - or does
>it not matter?
Doesn't matter.
>(3) If it does matter, should I delete the single record from all
>the Win files (not just the changed ones)?
Deleting the single standard entry from the names file will delete
the corresponding record from other files.
>(4) on the import should I "perform auto enter options while importing"?
Yes.
I assume you do not have access to a copy of FileMaker (or you
wouldn't have run into this wall). This means you will be using the
ebase import routines, and are not able to import using FileMaker's
import command. Ebase imports are built in for names and payments,
and will handle them with no trouble. Other transactions, like
actions and contacts, will be more problematical. Do you have any
contacts or actions to deal with?
