Eric, I haven't experienced anything like that. The only thought that
occurs to me is that Query is driven by scripts, so when you are
looking at the query screens you have a script running. There might
be something funny going on with one of those scripts, or they might
be trying to do something that you can't do with a script running.
If you can find out more detail about the time you can and the times
you can't, it's possible someone might discover an answer.
