Number 1 is the correct answer.

The AND vs. OR logical operations stuff is fundamentally different in
FileMaker vs. Access, for instance.  This is where this confusion probably
originated.  The Number 1 poster (Dave Shaw, I believe) has done a good job
in describing how the FileMaker/ebase logic works.


To get those who donated in both years ONLY, you would need to enter data
into both fields on Query Screen 2, on the same screen, without clicking on
"New Request." This would be the AND type of query.  To extend Dave's
explanation to this situation, such a query would show every record with
people who have donated in 2000 AND 2001.
