While entering information into a custom field on the Home screen, we
received a message that the disk containing the file could not be found.
Clicking OK, we were booted out of Filemaker Pro. We opened Ebase again, it
went through consistency checks, then we closed out properly.
What causes that message?
Does it have anything to do with opening Ebase through a desktop shortcut?
Should we not have that custom field on the Home Screen? The field is a
number field so we can enter Date Joined. We wanted to see that on the Home
screen vs the Data Entry or Activist.
Also, should we get rid of the Ebase that experienced the improper closing
and use a back-up?
A little background:
We are using V103 on Windows and Filemaker Pro 5.0. We just started using
103 last month, after reimporting information from 102. We had had some
problems with the quirks and decided our 102 was badly damaged. We exported
information to Excel, then reimported it into 103, after doing some
customizations.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
JoAnn
