Thanks, Walt, but actually I DID do this entirely by going through Admin screen#2 (i.e. "Import a File in Names Table")!
I'm confused about your statement regarding the "Legacy ID" however. Are you saying I should NOT be using "USER ID" on an on-going basis as the ebase field to contain the Student ID data? If so, why? Isn't this just as good as "Legacy ID" ? Also, I just noticed my version of ebase is 1.02 and not 1.03. Is there, by chance, a bug in the import routines in 1.02? I went to the ebase.org web site but didn't see either a download for the maintenance release or any info re: what's in the upgrade.
