It looks like your field is being sorted in alphabetical order, since you've probably defined the field as text.

Perhaps you could specify a custom sort order when sorting, using a value list (look in the dialog box that you get when specifying the sort).

so, I tried changing the member definitions in wizard set up by inserting an 'A' in the beginning of the first category I want showing up, "B" in the second etc..., and then updated the fields, but these same categories are still active and my sorts are still strange.

Any advise?  How can I sort these so that they report from low to high?
