Actually, you can modify any current found set, even if it's been
executed.  Select "Modify Last Find" from either the Filemaker menu or
the Ebase Scripts menu command, then select "New Find Request" (again,
both FMP and Ebase have an option for this), then enter the new criteria
and execute the find.  You can further narrow the found set again if you
want.  Same way.  

What you can't do is modify a found set you no longer have active. 
Unless of course you've saved it using a FMP save or the Ebase Custom
Find Screen.  Which you can also modify in the same way I've described
after it's been executed.  Or which you can modify on the fly by adding
a script step in the query script to "modify last find" and/or "add new
find request" - then when you execute the find script, it ends with an
open find for which you can add a new find step or modify one of the
earlier steps.  I use this technique fairly frequently.
