For what it's worth, I did see a group who had ebase on a server under
less than optimal sharing circumstances, and when it crashed, the access
priveledges for the drive no longer allowed use of ebase.  I didn't have
time or ability to figure out what was going on, but I had to find a way
to copy the data from the offending drive, re-import into a clean copy
of ebase, and start over.  Still haven't figured out what went wrong.
