Householding does not add an additional record to the names file. You
still have only records for Mary Jones and John Jones. One of these
(presumably Mary, since she is the donor) is marked as the Head of
Household. The association into a household is recorded in a record
in the groups file.

At the bottom of the query screen in the names file is an area where
you can select from among three options - heads of household,
Members, including heads, and Members and heads. If you want to do a
mailing to a group but send only one piece of mail to a household,
you would select Members and heads, then use the household option
when you select labels.

The interaction between the household selection and labels can be
obscure. I'd recommend reviewing the section on householding in the
ebase manual, and experimenting with selections and printing labels
to help you figure it out.
