We're using the latest version 5.0v3. Jack Noll was kind enough to call and try to work out the problem with me. We determined that there is a problem with the delete button script, but we don't know exactly what. We gave up for the night.
Meanwhile, I have a copy of my ebase file folder (this is the entire folder, program and all) at home, which I made on 9/13/01. I just tried the delete button on the copy and it works fine. When the problem first occurred, the names file became corrupted and I had to restore to my most recent backup (made the last time I changed anything) dated 9/07/01. The back up I made on 9/6/01 also resulted in the same script problem when I restored back to it. So, do you folks think I can just replace my entire ebase file with the good copy (9/13/01)? Since it works fine on my home PC, shouldn't it also work at the office? Jack suggested that I just make a clone of the "good" names file and call him in the morning and we'd go from there. Thanks for all your help!
