Carl, I still have anomalies printing labels from ebase.
These were not present from the first but somehow "spontaneously" <g> appeared. I checked to see if there were blank spaces in the Businss|Organization field of the Data Entry Menu by doing a Find, entering = (nothing in the field, and then FMP Replace command "" in the Business|Organization field to make sure it was empty when it should be empty. (1) Still, there were blank horizontal lines on the labels where the Business name should be on labels for Individual Record Types. The blank horizontal line for Business appears in Individual labels in the Preview Mode as well as (most unfortunately) in Print. If you examine the Layout Mode, the layout fields are aligned as they should be without any horizontal spaces. (2) In addition,* LNAME of Name 2* is printered on the label two spaces out of register to the left *only* when LNAME of Name 2 is *different* from LNAME of Name 1. (3) The delivery address (usally a POB) is also printed on the label two spaces out of register to the left *only* when the record contains a Supplementary address as well as a Delivery address. (4) A different, but more serious difficulty, appears when trying to use (unloaded) Household label. Everything looks good in Browse and Layout Mode, but *nothing* appears in Preview or Print. The Loaded labels for both Individual and Household labels appear to be OK, but we don't want our labels loaded. (For the time being we cannot use the label merge in Microsoft Word--we have a new computer and printer & they aren't talking to each other yet. This question is being referred to Dell and HP. <g>) What to do?
