It also does not let you get the full Acrobat at the Upgrade price. So you can pick any of the usual printers with PostScript and tell it to print to file for that printer. You can't Acrobat reader is just that a reader, not a writer. It is free. You need the full Acrobat, $250ish if I remember right, or one of the shareware equivalents. Win2PDF, http://www.daneprairie.com/ is one.

Yes, I have a shareware version of Adobe Acrobat (cheaper - Acrobat would work) that basically installs itself as a printer. You print to that printer and get a .pdf file which you can then send as an attachment to email. I don't know if similar things are available for Macs.
Yep, that's one of the virtues of the Acrobat format, it's completely cross-platform. I make pdf files all the time to send round via email. They are pretty compact, as well, and go over the wire quickly.
