They do that to trap you into not leaving. Their mail is not POP3 compatible which is why it doesn't work in many places including ebase. If you can print the address lists you can install a printer that prints to file and capture them in a file. You will probably have to edit the file to eliminate a bunch of garbage.

Try www.isps.com for a list of ISPs and their rates. You want to find one which is a local untimed call from your office. The timed call rates will swamp whatever you pay to your ISP. Many telcos will force you to have business line rates which are not untimed.
