Steve A crude way of getting the totals you want is to get a found set of payments for 2001 which just contains dues and contributions that are tax deductible. The found set can be sorted by dues, contributions and name. Depending on how many payments you have, you could omit from the found set those individuals that have only one payment in the year - this might get your list down to a workable size. Then I would find or make a layout that shows the information you need. If you don't want to take the time to design a layout with subtotals for each name, you may have to use an adding machine tape or transfer the information to a spreadsheet and get the totals in the spreadsheet. This doesn't give you the ability to issue the receipts from ebase but..... Hopefully someone will show you how to get the sub-totals you need as a new field in ebase. You may also want to anticipate the need to have the detail of all payments printed out for an individual in case they question how you arrived at the total on the receipt. Everything I have tried so far either gives me the sum of last year's payments, dues and contributions together, or, the sum of an individuals lifetime contributions. Suggestions?
