This is the correct script.

This script, or a subscript that it calls, is damaged. Scripts are 
embedded in the file structure, and are not separate resources. I 
don't think you have a very good chance of repairing the damage. One 
of the suggestions made when you initially reported this problem was 
to abandon this file set and transfer your data to a new set, either 
a good backup or a new set of ebase files. This is still my 
recommendation.

I think you are making an incorrect conclusion. I would say that if 
you are getting the problem in your backups, your backups are damaged.

The description you give indicates that your names file is damaged. 
The damage is limited to a particular script, so other functions are 
unimpaired.
