I have a custom field called "recognition listing" in which I enter
the name as it is to be listed for publication (I always ask the donor
to tell me on the response device how this should be done). Wouldn't
something like this take care of your problem?

One solution I've thought of is to create another

what, if any, problems this may cause- especially if no membership info
is stored there. I'm curious as to how other e-base users address this? Additionally,
a related problem is when individual members ( i.e.: John Smith) will donate
with their spouse and want both names (John and Jane Smith) listed on all
acknowledgements, lists etc. How to I do this without altering the original
membership record? Is it possible to create an alternative salutation line
that could include both names and that could be toggled on and off ( with
a radio switch) as needed? Thanks for any
