Hi, ebase 2 uses it's own email engine to get around ever growing issues with outlook and other outside email tools and to add features that were unavailable in V1. Full documentation for the incoming mail configuration and other new features will be available soon.
For incoming mail ebase 2 does not support MAPI based mail systems (about the only reason that you would have Outlook and not have a POP account). Most MAPI based systems talk to an assigned SMTP host at the ISP level so should be configurable for outgoing mail. See your Tech consultant or ISP about configuration.
