Clif,

To understand you correctly, you must have an outgoing SMTP server to
send email through Ebase 2.0? In version 1, you could just use the
default email client (in my case - Outlook with MS Exchange). I
particularly liked that feature and it worker flawlessly.

Hi, ebase 2 uses it's own email engine to get around ever growing issues
with outlook and other outside email tools and to add features that were
unavailable in V1. Full documentation for the incoming mail
configuration and other new features will be available soon.

For incoming mail ebase 2 does not support MAPI based mail systems
(about the only reason that you would have Outlook and not have a POP
account). Most MAPI based systems talk to an assigned SMTP host at the
ISP level so should be configurable for outgoing mail. See your Tech
consultant or ISP about configuration.
