Presumably if I start with the single user version and want to migrate to
the multiple user version, the transition will be straightforward.

In other words, eventually I want to work in a shared environment, but I
want to start as soon as reasonable with v2.
It makes sense to start now, rather than wait for the more network aware
version, right?

Once we assuage our conscience by calling something a "necessary evil," it
begins to look more and more necessary and less and less evil. - Sydney J.
