I wanted to add Dave's comment here, which I think is a good guess at the 
source of the problem.  I have several times observed organizations using 
Ebase having problems like this.  To me, the primary fix is to make sure 
that you don't have multiple installations of Ebase sitting in various 
locations around your organization.  When you have copies of Ebase in 
several directories/folders, it just ASKS for problems.  It is very easy 
for someone to find SOME copy of Ebase and then start using it.  If it's 
the wrong copy, then all their work in that copy is either lost or has to 
be consolidated into the primary copy.  It is a GOOD practice to keep only 
one copy of Ebase loaded up and ready to run on your computer 
network.  That prevents these sort of problems completely.
