Hi, I am just starting to use ebase 1.03 for the first time, after having installed it about 6 months ago! I'm using it with Filemaker Pro 5.0 (not the runtime) and after entering some sample data, have started to play with the thank you letter layouts.
I've quickly found that the menus and commands in the manual don't seem to match what I'm seeing on my screen, and wonder why, and what's to be done. For example, on page 9-4 of the ebase Amin. manual v1.03, item no. 10. says "Select Browse from the Mode Menu..." My screen has no Mode menu (nor could I find a "status area" mentioned on p. 9-1); instead I found Modes as subcommands on the View menu. But in the next sentence, a Book icon is mentioned; I can't find this either. I also can't find "Test letter printing" on the Script menu. Etcetera. Now I'll admit before anyone points this out, that I didn't read chapters 1 through 8 before getting to chapter 9, but a quick flip through doesn't show any screen shots that help me find these. Help anyone?
