My recommendation is to export your source data to either a spreadsheet or FileMaker database where you can do some data conditioning prior to the import. Use the functions in your spreadsheet or Filemaker to separate the names appropriately before importing to ebase. I don't think there is any way around some manual review here, since you could have first names with two words like Martha Lou, which would be hard to distinguish from a first and last name. > >My legacy data has three columns: firstname, last name, and firstname2, >which is causing the problem.
