If you are importing both name and payment records, you'll need to have a unique record identifier (often a number) for each person in the database. That identifier must be properly mapped to the Legacy ID field in the import routine (when importing both names and payments) for the payment records to match up with the proper names. Do you have such an identifier and have you properly mapped it?
If so, are you sure the data isn't there and isn't in the right place? After importing, have you found a few of the new records and then clicked on the "Payments" tab (above the Home tab as opposed to the View Payments button which takes you to the Payments file) to look and see if payments belonging to those folks is there?
