When ebase creates a new names record, it also creates records in
three other related files, custom, profile, and summary. When you
browse a names record with these related records missing, you get the
message you report. To check and repair all the records in the names
file, select the Scripts menu and the item "Check For Related
Records". If you have a lot of records ("lot" equals more than a
couple of thousand) this might take a while - do it before you go to
lunch. This script will browse all your names records and create the
related records where they are missng.
Records get added incorrectly by importing or adding records directly
with FileMaker commands rather than using the buttons and scripts
provided by ebase. Add records by clicking the "Add Name" button or
importing with the ebase admin procedure.
