I haven't used a network installation yet, so I'm going to pass this along to someone who has. It does sound to me, though, as if you are missing some parts. A network installation involves data files on the host, with navigation and interface files on each client. Is it possible that some of these got put in the wrong place. There is a file in the documentation folder called ebaseentities.pdf that explains which pieces should be where. > >NOW ON TO FIND ISSUES: >I want to be able to find all our major donors ... what is the necessary >script to be able to simplify the process? Is there standard script >writing documentation somewhere to help me learn how to write customized >scripts and menus? Finding major donors is a pretty simple process all by itself, depending in part on how you have that coded. If you define "major donor" as anyone who has given more than some amount total, just search for that number. Adding functions to ebase involves creating an external module. The Payments module is provided as an example in the ebase system delivered. information on Filemaker scripting is provided in the FileMaker user manual. -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
