FileMaker is pretty aggressive about finding a file that it needs to reference, so operating two copies of ebase from the same drive is pretty chancy. The risk of getting recors mixed is pretty high. > Would it be possible to install ebase to a CD and run it from there, >each organization on its own CD? CDs are mostly read-only, so you won't be able to use that for a live copy. A good option would be to put one or both of the copies of ebase onto a removable disk like a Zip disk or a USB hard drive that you can easily remove or disconnect from the machine. Then you would keep only one copy at a time connected to your machine. -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
