Thanks for your comments and apologies for my ignorance of these matters, but I thought I could I could write to my CD because am able to copy files to my CD. However, when I installed ebase on my CD and tried to fill in the first screen, I kept getting messages that it was read only. this must be something I don't understand about my CD drive? I can copy files onto it but not run a program from it if I want to enter data into the program?
I have a 100MB Zip drive. Do you think that would be big enough for 1-2000 members? Or would I need to get one with a larger capacity? This is discouraging.
If I were the only one needing access to the files I wouldn't mind putting both organizations in one database, but I had hoped to be able to pass the backup disks back and forth with individuals from each organization in order to be able to share the lists. I wouldn't really want to pass all the information on both organizations to someone who was working with only one of them.
Thanks!
Lucy Quimby
