I think this is a misunderstanding. Are were really talking about the same thing?

I want a script to be called after a connection loss of the PPPoE Connection and not of the vpn connection. The scripts vpn-linkup and vpn-linkdown are in no way executed after creating or closing a pppoe connection on my system.

PPPoE Connection established     ->        ppp-linkup
PPPoE Connection closed            ->        ???
VPN connection established         ->        vpn-linkup
VPN Connection closed               ->        vpn-linkdown

These are the PPP files. As I said before, these are the scripts
your looking for.

Yes the vpn scripts are there. But i´m seeking for ppp-linkdown.

I created a file called ppp-linkdown in /usr/local/sbin but it isn´t
executed after a pppoe disconnect. Where can i turn this function on.

Look in /usr/local/sbin/vpn-linkdown and /usr/local/sbin/vpn-linkup
