Subject: RE: [pfSense Support] 2 lan connections with pfsense

You need 3 interfaces for your setup (WAN,LAN,OPT1). OPT1 will be your 2nd
LAN. After installing the 3rd nic assign it at interfaces>assign in the
webgui (hit the [+] icon). After that it will show up as OPT1 in the
interfaces menu. You now can configure it just like the LAN interface with a
seperate subnet. Add firewallrules to allow traffic at this interface an
modify your rule at LAN (depending what traffic you want to allow between
the two subnets). You also can setup a seperate dhcp server for this
interface at Services>dhcp server. You'll get a seperate tab for the new
interface there.
