Please confirm [DNS Zone updates for DHCP leases]To get the extra configuration into dhcpd.conf I need to 1) Ask for the additional terms in services_dhcp.php 2) On update check for errors in error checking section of services_dhcp.php 3) Amend the write_config() function to get the extra configuration into the XML Config [ I am assuming this gets data into the XML config but am still looking for it ] 4) Amend services_dhcpd_configure() [ I assume this uses XML config to re-write dhcpd.conf and restarts the daemon ] looking at the GUI php code and assuming that the rest of the configuration php is the same sort of stuff then this should be inside my ability, so one question springs to mind Would the ability to update local dns with lease information from DHCP be a neat feature (to be included after release 1) or should I just configure my Linux server to do the DHCP and walk away. If you like the idea I will set up a development machine and give it a go. If you don't like it I will transfer DHCP to my DNS/File server and put the DHCP relay on my pfsense firewall/router
I am a little confused. I thought we where speaking of fixing a bug in pfSense? Why would fixing this bug require all of those changes?! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
