I think you are being too subtle - why don't you tell it the way it is?

Actually, I'm just trying to not be an ass.  You are talking about a
FreeBSD issue, take it up with a FreeBSD developer.  As a user, I'm
perfectly content with the way it is.  As a pfSense developer, it's of
no consequence to me - I've got other fires to fight and other things
that are of interest to me to work on.  You want it, you fix it, if
it's a good idea and _I'm_ interested in fixing it, I'll look at it.
I'm not interested, I'm not looking at it and you aren't my employer,
so it's safe to say that my attitude towards it isn't going to cost me
my paycheck.
