I disabled the onboard NIC and now it works fine.

While I'm using a PowerEdge server and not a Precision workstation, my problem 
seems to be the same the guys in this

discussion have with workstations.

As somebody is already working on a fix

just wait and not use the onboard NIC for the time being...
