please try the following with ther latest snapshot:
(you should see your rules created but there will be one client and one server
entry (undeletable and empty))

edit your config.sml and look for openvpn... there will be two tags:
<config></config> under server and client.

delete those and reupload the config.xml

then in the shell, go to /var/etc and delete the openvpn_server* and the
openvpn_client* (but not the csc directory)

now reboot and it should work...

can you state this ?

Regards, Martin !

The rules don't appear neither in Client nor in Server.

I don't know if if it's working, but I have passed the configuration to an
old image (1.0.1) and I could see the rules created. So I think the rules
are, but it is just they don't appear.

Hey, I don't know if you have the same problem I had on one system, but it
was related to this:

http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,4103.0.html

When I updated to the latest 1.2 Beta Prerelease for some reason my OpenVPN
configuration disappeared. So I set it all up again, and still, it didn't
show up. So I searched around and found that forum topic. Sure enough I
edited the /conf/config.xml in the WebGUI, took out the <config/> just below
the <openvpnserver> which happened to be above my actual configuration and
rebooted, and voila, it was all working again!!

Check that out and see if helps you in this situation.

JC
