it’s a netgear GA311

as re0. once it negotiates to gigabit, its rock solid and barely flinches if
I nail the interface with traffic. its only the 60 seconds after bootup
where its negotiating the network speed is it inaccessible. after that its
smooth sailing.

And I wouldn't put much faith into anything on any unmanaged switch. What
driver does the NIC use, out of curiosity?
