Thanks Holger and Chris, Having some troubles though: Do I need to follow the steps as outlined here http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/MultiWanVersion1.2 and create a single interface load balancer entry, or do I simply change the gateway option under the appropriate firewall rule without creating the load balancer ?
To be honest I have tried both, but the applications on the LAN complain that there is no route to the host. The opt1 interface settings have the next hop router set in the gateway option under the interface. As a quick summary, I need the traffic from the LAN for a certain destination IP range to route via the router on the OPT1 network, but I also need the traffic with the same destination address from the OPT2 interface (and all other interfaces for that matter) to go via the default WAN interface. Do I still need a static route and if so, how do I override the static route to ensure that all other traffic uses the default WAN connection? -----Original Message----- From: Holger Bauer [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, 31 May 2007 2:24 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [pfSense Support] Static Route question Not with static routes but this should be doable using policybased routing using firewallrules with appropriate gateways.
