Craig, Thanks! I had pretty much all the same setup you listed, however the things I changed that matched your docs were:
TKIP instead of BOTH (AES / TKIP) WME Checked (Mine was off) 802.11G Only (Mine was not checked) As soon as I applied the settings, it took off. Not sure why as it seems it should work with the settings either way. Since I was also having problems with Linksys PCI Cards on a couple other PC's, I wanted to try and stay clear of putting on the proprietary software for the Intel card. Things are now working! Thanks very much again...... ~Tim -----Original Message----- From: Craig Silva [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2007 2:19 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [pfSense Support] Stange Problem with WRAP / Wireless Hi Timothy, sounds like an issue I had just recently. If the wireless client is XP SP2 - then I would suggest that it is the windows wireless client - two things to try - use the Intel Pro wireless client rather than the standard windows wireless client - this was how I got mine to work - also see settings for the OPT1 interface below (I've written this up in the attached document which I have submitted to the wiki - but only a day ago so its probably not posted yet). The standard windows client will work but you have to get the settings right for the OPT1 interface. The settings that worked for me: WPA WPA mode - both WPA key management - Pre shared key Authentication - Open shared Authentication WPA Pairwise - TKIP Enable IEEE802.1x - not checked Craig Timothy J.
