Thank you all for the responses! I thought that the Zabbix Agent package may be out of date but it did list it as being 'up to par' with version 1.2.1 of pfSense in the packages page. Apparently it is incorrect. Well, back to the drawing board. <Checking to see if Zabbix supports plain TCP/UDP port monitoring, content checking, and SNMP polling...>

The latest version has some serious issues (Google "jffnms admin structure not found") which haven't been fixed and the project is nearly dead.
