From what I could see, once you install the agent, Zabbix was able to figure out most of the services by itself. This is especially true for disks, CPU-load, memory and interfaces that are IMO quite timeconsuming to setup in Nagios.

And Cacti has no way of setting up and managing dozens or hundreds of similar services at once, last time I looked.

I don't know how well Zabbix scales, though.
