Salutations, I'm writing to ask of anybody else has experienced the inability to use PAT through to a DMZ server(s) with a PPPoE configured WAN interface.
This is a straightforward configuration but it does not work, and syslog logs the following: Feb 11 16:25:22 pf: 1. 074881 rule 79/0(match): block in on ng0...et al, where ng0 is the PPPoE interface. I'm looking at "rule 79/0(match)" wondering what rulefile it's matching, and where it is. I've tried several different configurations all with the same negative results (using a Virtual IP and not) Interesting to note that, if you configure a NAT or Rule using PPPoE (it's selectable from the drop-down menu) it's written to the config file, /cf/conf/config.xml, but not visible from the webgui, as in you have to edit config.xml directly to remove it/them. My thinking is to treat this situation as "not possible", and change things up so the ADSL modem handles the PPPoE login/authentication, then the WAN interface can be configured with a static IP address, which we have with our ISP, and give it another shot.
