I was wondering, if I have a fully installed pfSense on a real server platform... it would be possible to add an Alix-embedded as backup ? And in the case of hardware failing, it would jump to the Alix (without packages installed)... The "real" server, has packages like proxy and so on (transparant that is) - so there is no real need to have packages installed on the Alix board in my case (I think)... Has this already been done by someone... if not, then I guess it'll be my duty to try this (guess to try this at home first - lol). I read that when using multiple WAN interfaces, CARP isn't behaving well... on a 1.2.3 platform... true to be cautious, or true to indeed have issues ? Kind regards, Michel
