This is my first time trying to set up a pfSense system and I am struggling to
get to Internet accessible to users machines.

My setup is as follows:

- pfSense 2.0 RC3 running in VirtualBox on a machine on the network - not
directly connected to WAN
- pfSense has DHCP turned on and all machines are able to both receive IP
addresses and access pfSense's config page
- pfSense is able to connect to my ISP via PPPoE. Connectivity can be verified
by the fact that I am able to download and install pfSense packages from within
the web-interface.
- No other computers on the network (including the one that is hosting
VirtualBox) are able to access the Internet.
- pfSense is connecting to the same network from both LAN and WAN, but is
connecting through PPPoE to WAN.

I would really appreciate it is someone could explain how to make pfSense share
the internet with other computers on the network.

Cheers,

Mark

Mark,
You need to approach this in light of pfSense is a router and a firewall.

You need to configure the router and firewall inside pfSense before it will do anything useful for you.

As a router, you probably need to turn on NAT between the LAN and WAN. And you will need to add some firewall rules that will allow traffic to flow from the LAN to the WAN.
