Same here. I've also noticed telling people to right-click, and to find something in the start menu are both quite the endeavor. It was a good day when I had someone who understood those simple instructions.

Often because they don't understand the meaning of even simple
descriptions of how to fix problems with computers and software.

With people I've dealt with, using the expression "install" resulted in
complete incomprehension. "Download" was a real struggle too.
