Also, noticed the Pidgin Encryption 3.1 lock graphic started missing after this
morning's update to 2.7.10...

Re-installed pidgin-encryption 3.1, and it came back...

thx

It's been for all of the pidgin re-installs since I've started using it... (5+
years ago)

That's what I currently do, it cut-paste a temp saved set of the files I need...

Specifically, it's for the Guifications plug-in...

                Pidgin/pixmaps/pidgin/guifications

thx

Is it possible when installing a new version of Pidgin, to not remove the
previously installed plug-ins, and have to re-install them?

Kind of annoying each time a new version of Pidgin comes out...

thx

That's unusual - the plugins are removed??? When I am updating, the plugins
always stay. Which version did you update? (A workaround for this: Copy the
plugin folder before updating and then paste it into the Pidgin folder after
the update is done, do not overwrite files to avoid overwriting updated plugins)

What's that? >> Pidgin/pixmaps/pidgin/guifications You are using PIdgin longer
than I do, so this was probably how it worked before, but now, plugins are
simply stored inside a folder named "Plugins". Probably that's the reason, why
yours are overwritten/deleted ?! Install everything inside the plugin folder,
then they shouldn't get deleted.
