You have a serious problem that may hold back users from using pidgin. The default windows installer does not come with GTK, you have to get the offline installer to get the GTK dll's.
This is a serios usability problema because 1 most people don't have GTK installed 2 most people don't know that there is an offline installer that solves that problem Ordinary people (non progammers) will not understand why pidgin does not work and will give up, please make it easy for people to install and use pidgin so that more people can enjoy the best IM software.
